Three year B.Sc.-IT degree

Information Technology (B.Sc. in IT)

Admission requirements:
University endorsement + M-score of 18. For this qualification the M-score is calculated on basis of the following formula: Medium of instruction of proposed qualification (Afrikaans or English) + Mathematics + 2 of the following: Physics and Chemistry, Biology, Physiology, Technical Drawings, Geography, Computer Science, Accountancy or other best subject. The best science score is doubled.

Furthermore, learners must adhere to one of the following:

  • Passed Mathematics in the matriculation examination with at least 50% (D) on the higher grade, or
  • Have passed Mathematics in the matriculation examination with at least 50% (D) on the standard grade and one or more of the following in the higher grade:
    • Computer Science
    • Physics and Chemistry
    • Biology
    • Accounting

Learners are strongly advised to sit for the Computer Science at least in the standard grade in addition to Mathematics in the matriculation examination.

Driejarige voltydse B.Sc. graad

This qualification is offerd in English only and only on a fulltime basis.

Business Mathematics and Information Science (B.Sc.)

  • Passed Mathematics in the matriculation examination with at least 60% (C) on the higher grade

Learners are strongly advised to sit for the Computer Science at least in the standard grade in addition to Mathematics in the matriculation examination.
